After a long year of hard work, the gastrobeach club Assaona is finally a reality.
Saturday the 19th of May 2018, Palma.- Premiering in Palma, on this weekend, will be a new gastronomic and leisure space located on the most urban and central beach in the whole city, Can Pere Antoni. A gastrobeach club which will offer the area the quality and prestige it deserves.
For César Soto, the establishment’s director, “to open Assaona meant to create a project and make a dream come true”. We are, he added, “what this area was missing, a concept that offers a gastronomic space, cocktail area, an ample wine menu and relaxation that’s only a few steps away from the beach”.
Assaona is a Project which has been carried out by this Mallorcan company, and with a lot of experience in the sector, Marport Sunbeach. Forty people make up the Assaona team, which operates between 9 in the morning until 1 in the morning, across the whole year.
The name which was chosen, Assaona, comes from the Mallorcan verb “assaonar” which in Castilian Spanish means to season, baste, marinade. From this, explains César Soto, “comes our philosophy: to integrate concepts to form the universe of Assaona, a stone’s throw away from the centre of Palma”.
In regards to the decoration, it’s worth mentioning, that the organisation wanted to respect its surroundings as much as possible using noble and natural materials, betting on cooking that uses local and fresh produce.
